Last Tuesday I bought myself a $80 skateboard! Currently learning an ollie. If you don’t know what an ollie is an ollie is practically a jump on a skateboard. to do an ollie you must place one of your feet over the back truck (a truck is an axel, and if you don’t know what foot to put on top I can tell you. If your goofy foot which I’m goofy footed means ur right foot is infront and regular means your left foot is in front).

     Learning the ollie. This is a very painful step because learning ollies will tear your shoes to shreds slowly but surely. This happens because whenever you preform an ollie you put your back foot on the tail of your board and your front foot on the middle of the board. next you slam your tail onto the ground and drag your foot up to the nose of the board (front) and push the nose down a little bit and if you do that all at the same time you should have some air times. Most people will start with baby ollies, a baby ollie is just and little hop off the ground while an ollie you will probably atleast get a foot or more off the ground.

How to tell the nose and the tail apart. You can tell them apart just by looking at them. The nose of the board is usually a bit bigger then the tail while the tail is usually the opposite. Some skateboard companies sometimes put coloured screws so you can tell which is nose and tail, or there might be righting the righting always has the bottom of the words facing the tail and the top facing the nose. telling the difference between the nose and the tail can really help when you try to land tricks on your skateboard.
